Evisceration Politics Horror Show
I would be doing something else but I can't leave politics alone. I have been an activist and a comic for each extending 10 years, and in that time I chose to help myself. I loath the idea of spilling my own messy problems on somebody else. Now I just can't seem to get my head together without having something to say more loudly than I can hear anyone else speak. I speak that language. That language is called cynical. There will be sadness. This comic is a byproduct of soul searching, wish fulfillment, and some part recollection of philosophy. It is political, and this is a [!Trigger Warning!] This is a gagged comedy. The comic will be posted a month in advance on Patreon after the posting of the first page; accompanied by comedic essays intended to be converted toward paying work. You can find those and more at the linktree I use as my signature: http://campsite.bio/iSamCrozier ...and always, I hope the product of my labors satisfy the motives driving you to read it.

The story revolves around Kaname, a first-year university student, his girlfriend Itsumi, and other members of their university's 'East Asia Investigation Committee,' as well as their resident Korean friend, Kouichi. Kaname initially believes the story of Japanese oppression of colonized Korea as taught at school and is critical of his grandfather who once worked for the colonial government in Korea. Kaname's belief, however, is subsequently challenged by his grandfather's last words before his death that 'Japan contributed to the development of Korea.' Confused, Kaname decides to join the history group on entering the university and begins his quest for the 'truth' about Korea and Japan-Korea relations. Throughout the comic, he and Itsumi accumulate knowledge on Korea and Japan-Korea relations from the Internet, books, and senior members of the history group. In each chapter they debate opponents such as Kouichi, other history study groups, citizen activists, and South Korean students over issues such as the Japanese colonization of Korea, the status of Korean residents in Japan, and who should accept responsibility for the war. Invariably they win every debate.

Manga Nihon Keizai Nyuumon
HistoricalSlice of Life
They are burning Japanese cars in Detroit. The top management at Toyosan Motors must decide whether to begin offshore production of its cars in the U.S. But our hero Mr. Kudo fears that offshore production will devastate the numerous local subcontractors of Toyosan, leading to a hollowing out of the auto industry in Japan, leaving only a financial shell. The American color TV industry has already suffered such a fate. The villain, Mr. Tsugawa, calls Kudo a wimp and sees a splendid opportunity for union busting. Will our hero prevail? Thus begins the first episode of this rollicking yet incisive introduction to the world economy from the Japanese point of view. Other episodes treat the appreciation of the yen, the impact of the 1970s oil shocks, deficit financing, the internationalization of business and banking, and the post-industrial future of Japan and the Pacific Rim. The book is an English edition of volume 1 of Manga Nihon Keizai Nyumon, originally published in 1986 by Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the Japanese equivalent of the Wall Street Journal. It is based on a serious introductory text put out by the newspaper and is packed with informative charts and facts. When the comic book was first published in Japan, it was an immediate best-seller, selling over 550,000 copies in less than a year. The stories in the book reflect Japan's national mood during the "Japanese miracle" and into the 1980s economic bubble: apprehension and optimism jostle one another, and there is a sense of national self-pity. The book also reflects a deep suspicion of politics and bureaucrats. The prime minister appears more worried about his government's popularity than about taking the right economic course. Ultimately, the employees at Toyosan Motors demonstrate that the success of the Japanese economy will not depend on natural resources or politics but on business practices that are ethical, socially responsible, and forward-looking (Source: University of California Press)

This Manga doesn't actually have any plot since it is a Manga-how to" rather than a work of fiction. Broken down into 3 parts, the first part is a series of lessons by Akira Toriyama on how to draw Manga (including what not to do), this part is rather amusing to read. The second part is a series of technical pointers from Akira Sakuma, this part is less amusing than the first. The last section is comprised of comments made by Toriyama in regards to amateur Manga work sent in to him in a contest sponsored by Shonen Jump.
