While the rest of his world springs back to life after a grueling war, Lars shuns the celebrations. The greatest national hero, the shaman who is about to receive the Shepard’s Peace Laurels, has murdered his parents. Since nobody believes the accusations from a brush teen, Lars must avenge his family on his own or he would never be able to reunite with them in the spiritual realm. Now he just has to figure out how a kid with zero spiritual powers can bring down the mightiest shaman without the devoted crowds tearing him from limb to limb.
