On Hiatus. Love is not the key to live happily, it does not solve your problems and certainly does not change a society built to hate you. Alex is a cisgender homosexual guy and in order to find a job had to leave behind his family and hometown, and to move alone to another city. While Loris is an homosexual boy too but is actually transgender. Being a trans guy in Italy and beginning a transition path is a huge challenge, not only because of the body dysphoria but also on the financial side, with all the meds, therapy and professional figures involved in the process. And with no family a job is an absolute necessity but for a person with unmatching gender expression and ID is nearly impossible. Absorbed in this awful reality Loris met Alex in a pub and, singing “All you need is Love” they actually fell for each other. Love is not enough but having finally found someone who loves you in spite of everything is certainly something.
