Seisenki Elna Saga

Seisenki Elna Saga

ActionAdventureFantasy

The land in ELNA SAGA is called Gimrey, and supposedly in the far past, before magic became a part of every person, a great monster had swooped down from the north and ravaged the world. Fanning great gusts of destructive magical wind, it reduced nearly everything to empty wasteland before a knight appeared to challenge it. Bearing a sacred sword and shield which repulsed magic, this knight finally struck the monster down after a tremendous battle. But this creature would not die, and as it lay immobile, the wind poured forth from its wounds unrelentingly. With the last of his strength, the knight planted his sword high atop the mountain where the battle had been fought, so that it would shield a part of the land from the wind. This was the beginning of Gimrey, and the reason why everyone is born with innate magic. As time passed, people began to fight over fertile ground. ELNA SAGA begins right before the outbreak of yet another war, and tells of a princess named Elna. Born without any magic whatsoever and as such being the only person who can actually touch the sacred sword guarding Gimrey, she becomes a pawn used by her kingdom to threaten other countries with destruction. A rival kingdom's assassination attempt turns rescue, however, when the ones behind this plot reveal that they have no qualms about killing Elna as long as they can maintain a facade using a lookalike. With the help of her would-be assassin, who is drawn to her innocence and compassion, Elna journeys to define herself and stop a terrible war that her country has started. The first thing one notices is the richness of the world in which this series has been set. The ideas behind ELNA SAGA are drawn loosely from Nordic culture and mythology and the story, people, and names all bear a medieval Northern European flavor. There are no gods or non-human races, but Valkyries, Berserks, and the world tree Yggdrasil make their appearance in one form or another, and the castles and towns evoke nostalgic memories of old storybooks. The Third

The Third

ActionAdventureMartial Arts

The series is set many years after a devastating war, which killed 80% of the Earth's population. Earth is being watched by a group of beings known as The Third from a city called Hyperius. They are named after a red jewel-like eye on their forehead (Space Eye) that serves as a port for data access and other types of communication. These beings are committed to protecting the humans from harm. One of the main ways is to protect the humans is to control the amount of "technos" or technology that the humans have access to, known as the "technos taboo". Human found using forbidden technos could be killed by The Third's best "autoenforcer" an AI robot named Bluebreaker. It follows the adventures of Honoka, a 17 year old girl who is human, but was born with a blue third eye as well. The Third found that she could not interface with the rest of The Third and so declared her a mutation and left her with human parents. Her blue eye enables her to see Chi and use it to find cloaked enemies and sense the emotions of all living things. Honoka is a jack-of-all-trades who travels throughout the barren earth with the help of a sand tank operated by Bogie, an AI guardian given to her by her grandfather. She earns a living by doing various jobs with the tank like ridding areas of oversized spiders and ants and escorting or transporting clients. One night while traveling through the desert, she comes upon a strange man named Iks. He arrived on the planet for a purpose which is not clear until the last episode. The Third is also nervous about his arrival and fears he may seek to harm the humans. In order to understand the world more Iks contracts with Honoka to accompany her for most of her travels. During travel or at night, she recites poems by a writer named "Dona Myfree" (exact spelling unknown at this time).

The Boy From the Moon

The Boy From the Moon

Shoujo

An Na Suh lives with her gorgeous brother, Aaron suh (guy up there) who's popular with everyone—regardless of gender. An Na's mother has gone to Africa for a volunteer project and her father has gone missing ever since the day Aaron was brought to the house. Then, one morning, An Na decides to look for her father, and whether it be luck or coincidence, she gets a phone call from the police saying that they've found something related to her father. It turns out that it's a young boy who although looks to be in his teens, acts very child-like. Grasping onto the possibility that the boy could being a clue to finding her father, An Na takes him home. Besides the unknown origins of this boy, the story throws in another puzzle. An Na and Aaron... may not be related! Unfortunately, without the DNA of An Na's father, it is virtually impossible to determine whether or not they are brother and sister. An Na remembers her father asking her if she wanted to go to the moon: "Let's go to the moon, An Na. Then, all the stomachaches and worries will disappear. You just need to close your eyes and count down from ten. Ten, nine, eight, seven..." After doing that a few times, whether it was because I had perhaps lost my mind or because I was on Father's shoulders, when I suddenly looked up at the night sky, the moon really did seem bigger and closer than it had ever been before. Did her father go to the moon? Who is this boy and what does he have to do with An Na's father? Or perhaps this boy's from the moon. The amount of questions pile up all the way to the stars.
