The story is set in year 2030 where an incident occur in a giant research facility called LABO which has a nuclear reactor. The incident, which is the meltdown of the reactor locks everything in the facility causing 9 people, 3 rescuers and 6 ordinary people, to be locked inside it. They just have to wait to be rescued since help will come in 9 hours when the system will be recovered. The problem is... they only got "magic potions" against radiation for 6 people. (Soruce: MU)

This story takes place in an alternative future of Shanghai where money and power rules the city. Mafia groups hire Kung Fu masters and dominate the society. There are two types of Kung Fu masters, those who mastered their internal qi, and those who mastered their physical skills. The qi masters are able to output a stronger energy coming from their life itself, but it took a long time to master it. It was easier to just train their physical skills, but there was a limit to how strong a human body can be. So there were a balance of many average physical skill masters and few strong qi masters. However that balance broke when cybernetics came into play. Kung Fu masters would replace their body with robotic parts and attain a strength that a normal human can never achieve. That's how no one tried to become qi masters anymore when they can easily become powerful by using cybernetics, and qi masters decreased in numbers. The main character of the story Kong Taoluo, a qi master, used to be the top assassin of the leading mafia group. Persona 4 spin-off set one year after the end of Persona 4, Naoto is asked to investigate the mysterious disappearances of two Yagakoro students by an old detective friend, Touko Aoi. In their first encounter, she awakens to a new persona Amatsu Mikaboshi, which enables her to amplify Sousei's persona ability, Tsukuyomi. Together with Sousei, she discovers the Midnight Site, an anonymous site where judgment is passed on others by five judges named after figures in Japanese mythology—Uzume, Sarutahiko, Omoikane, Tajikarao, and Futotama. However, it quickly becomes apparent that this case and another under Touko's supervision are related when one of the five judges turns up dead with ballistics pointing to a missing police officer's gun.
