Tetsu and Masari have been best buds since they were in 2nd grade and are feared and well respected amongst the gangs in their neighborhood. One day, Masari was riding his bike as usual when he got into a streetfight with some thugs and had an accident. Tetsu rushed to the hospital only to be informed that his friend is unconscious, and that he only has 20% chance of survival. Tetsu is devastated, but then he hears Masari. He turns around and sees... no-one? Following instructions to look down he is shocked to see a talking Dog. The dog tries to explain that Masari's accident was a mistake - the dog was supposed to die. A god told him he was trying to fix the mistake, but when Masari yelled after him the god was gone, and he was stuck in the dog's body. Tetsu finds this hard to believe, but the dog knows all about him, and sits and talks in the same manner that Masari does. As he finally starts to believe him, they realise that Tetsu is the only one who can actually hear Masari - everyone else just hears the dog's bark. Now Masari wants Tetsu to find the thugs responsible for his accident, and that is where this story begins. Will Masari be able to become human again?

It is about a boy named Techno who lived in a bomb shelter most of his life. He and his grandfather are amazingly smart. But one day Techno sees a girl named Hitomi on his yard. He instantly falls in love. He names her Daisy, even though she keeps telling him that's not her name. After 3 months of practice on a robot he decides to get a relationship started with her. But all he can do is stare. Then he decides to get full ownership of her, but she still doesn't really belong to Techno. Along their way on this crazy relationship, Techno's genius almost kills Hitomi multiple times. That includes making her 50 feet tall, making a replacement teacher that shoots laser beams, creating a giant slug, kidnapping her, and much more. More crazy things include a teacher that wears weird costumes, a harmless boy rebel that is wanted dead by Techno, his mom, and brother, Techno's over protective grandfather, Hitomi's friends, an android that wants Techno dead and to protect Hitomi, the 2 missiles that Techno befriended, and the rest of the class.

In fleeing from them, he happens across a very special toy-catching game—one that has a naked man in it. The man calls himself "Mofu-tarou" (after the name of the stuffed bear) and insists that he is a stuffed animal. He does seem to have genuine stuffed animal ears and a tail, at least. He follows Wataru home, determined to be his new stuffed animal. Shinobu is just an average schoolgirl and most certainly not a ninja—at least, that is what she claims.
